Small Rabbit Hutches

Rabbit cages are expensive to buy but easy to make if you are talking about the small rabbit hutches. These types of hutches are generally created for small rabbits that are approximately 3 to 4 years of age or below. Small hutches don’t have much sophistication as large hutches but still contains some of the basic necessities required for the rabbits. This type of hutch is easy to make and maintain and also costs very low.

Small Rabbit Hutches are generally made up of fine wood or of wires or combination of both. The design is the most important part for creating any hutch and that totally depends on the size of your bunny. Always try to create hutches that should be at least 3 to 4 times bigger then the size of the rabbit. Since, we are talking about the small rabbit hutches, so there is no space kept for playing and hopping purpose. The cage should have one front door and lifting roof which makes easy to catch rabbit if rabbit is not coming easily to the hands.

Ventilation and hygienic environment is one of the important aspects of any animal cage. The hutch should have well ventilated so that your rabbit can easily get fresh air. The hutch should be cleaned properly at least once in a day to give hygienic and disease free life to your bunny. The small rabbit hutch should have some facilities like rabbit warrens, rabbit hey rack, rabbit bowls, rabbit toys etc. that is used by the rabbits everyday. As we know that rabbit’s life span is very small so if we try to give them good and proper care their life span may increase a bit and your bunny may leave 2 to 3 years more than their original life span.
